Séptima carrera disputada del Mundial en la catedral del motociclismo, Assen, con victoria para Viñales en Moto 3, de Márquez en Moto 2 y de Stoner en la categoría reina.
MOTO 3
Carrera de infarto en la cilindrada más pequeña. Siguiendo la tónica de esta temporada, hubo un numeroso grupo de pilotos que poco a poco se quedó formado por solo 5 (Viñales, Salom, Cortese, Kent y Rossi). En más de un adelantamiento, saltaron chispas, incluso entre pilotos del mismo equipo, como son Cortese y Kent. El alemán realizó un adelantamiento arriesgado a su compañero a falta de pocas vueltas, y Kent logró aguantarse encima de la moto.
En la última chicane antes de meta, Salom llegaba primero, pero un magistral adelantamiento de Viñales lo relegó fuera del podio. Viñales ganó por delante de Cortese y Kent.

MOTO 2
Cara y cruz para los dos pilotos españoles que luchan por el título de campeón. La cara fue Marc Márquez que logró su tercera victoria de la temporada. Su lucha con Redding hizo que Iannone cogiera una ventaja de más de tres segundos, pero el piloto de Cervera logró recortar esa diferencia para terminar en lo más alto del podio.
La cruz fue Pol Espargaró. Salió bien y logró ponerse a liderar la carrera, pero cuando tiró fuerte se fue al suelo.
Por su parte, el cuarto piloto que aspira al título, Luthi, se vio envuelto en un lío y se fue al suelo. Scott Redding completó el podio, con Rabat en cuarta posición.

MOTO GP
Victoria del australiano Stoner que empata a puntos en lo alto de la tabla con Lorenzo. El, aún, líder del mundial no pudo ni completar la primera curva del circuito de Assen, ya que Bautista entró demasiado rápido por el interior y se llevó a su compatriota por los suelos. Lorenzo vio como su ventaja de 25 puntos sobre Stoner se ha reducido a 0.
Pedrosa ha terminado segundo después de liderar toda la carrera, pero en las vueltas finales vio como el australiano le pasó. Dani Pedrosa se encuentra a 19 puntos de Lorenzo y Stoner y aún tiene opciones de luchar por el título.
Dovi le ganó la partida a la Yamaha oficial de Spies y subió en el tercer cagón del podio.
La Dirección de Carrera ha decidido sancionar a Bautista por su arriesgada maniobra. El español tendrá que salir último en el siguiente GP.
